The Centurion’s Faith

In this passage, Jesus marvels at the faith of a centurion. This faith is meant to be an example to all who follow Christ.

  1. Why do the Jewish elders say Jesus should help this centurion? 
  2. Why didn’t the centurion come to Jesus himself? 
  3. What are concrete ways that we show we are forgetting that we depend on grace and not our works for our standing with God? 
  4. Faith demands that we live out what we believe about God. In what ways does your life not reflect what you say you believe? How can you grow in one of those areas?
