Summary

The courtroom scene is dramatic. The Angel of the LORD is the Judge. Satan is the prosecutor, the accuser. Joshua the High Priest is the accused, clothed with excrement covered garments. He is saved by sovereign grace, his sin is removed and he is clothed with new white festal garments. He is saved to serve. What a glorious picture of the Gospel.

I love this text, it is such a rich, OT Gospel text. His robes for mine. Imputation. Forgiveness. A life of service and obedience. This is the heart of who and what we are, and how we need to hear it over and over.
